About Me Page!
Hi! My name is Jenna Sakol and I’m a sophomore here at Hofstra. I’m studying to get a BA in Film and Screen Studies and minors in Creative Writing and Arts/ Design. I hope to work somewhere in the Film and TV industries with my degree; anything in any creative department – I’m trying to keep an open mind in this wide field. I’ve held positions in these type of fields in my academic life ever since high school – being production managers for plays and student films.
As far as my personal life goes – I’m from East Northport, NY – about 45 minutes from Hofstra. I would consider it a large town but one in which that everyone knows everyone. I’ve worked at a small, family owned Italian style restaurant since I was fifteen years old and am now one of their head weekend waitresses. I also attended Commack High School throughout my adolescence and had an amazing experience with incredible teachers and extra-curriculars. In terms of my personal interests – I’m a very spiritual person, I love crystals, yoga/ meditation, and zodiacs (I’m a Scorpio.) I also love to show people all of my favorite movies and explore new places with all the people I care about.
I’m looking forward to taking this class as per my Creative Writing minor to learn more about the statements that can be made through writing.
